The Power of Divine Guidance

The longest journey you will ever take is the 18 inches from your head to your heart” -Andrew Bennett

Proverbs 16:9

” A man’s heart plans his way, but it is the Lord who directs his steps.”

Getting centered and still, in God’s presence, knowing that God is directing our path, and leading our way. God wants only Good for us. God will guide our way, when we take time to listen.

“God, you are my refuge, my light and my world”

In this still place, I remember God is not outside of us, God also resides within us. This can be difficult to understand but I’m going to break it down here.

As humans, we tend to seek solutions through external sources in order to fill a void or gain validation, or find an answer. This act can be far reaching, especially when one reaches to find an answer to their liking.

This is especially true in the decision making process, when we all find ourselves sitting in a place of having to make life choices. This point in time in which life brings us is called Possibility Junction.

When we reach out to find an answer, oftentimes, it can be as easy as simply asking a question; and by asking the question,  the answer is revealed to us, sometimes immediately. Leaving us wondering, why you even asked the question. Because your soul, already knew.

INTUITION

You see, we have a built-in internal gauge that provides us with solutions, sometimes temporary or permanent.  Some call it instinct, some intuition, and some insight. These are the spiritual gifts of God’s Divine Guidance. These gifts can be developed throughout our lifetime, especially as we practice the inward journey of listening to God, and coming to know God’s will over our lives.

The problem is many people are running so fast in today’s world, trying to force solutions with logic, that they forgot about God, and don’t even stop to hear or to listen for God.

This is where the practice of prayer and meditation gains the stillness of the mind, in order to tune into the God channel, which is always present. Stilling the mind to tune into God is called mindfulness.

Many people want to do the right thing, and spend plenty of time analyThink of a decision you may have going on in your life right now. How do you know you are Divinely Guided in your decision making?

MINDFULNESS

Mindfulness can be achieved while in nature, spending time with a child or pet, at church or a still quiet chair in your home, in a meditation room, taking a walk or even running a race. It is during the focus of the uninterrupted mind.

God shows us the way, through visions, flashes, or even De Ja Vu ( the feeling that you have already been in the very point in time, where you have just arrived.)  I oftentimes think when I encounter De Ja Vu, it is an experience that I have caught up to, a place, or situation where I was supposed to be. It is a moment in time, like a flashback, that has caught up to me, to be stored again in my memory. But I have come to know, It reminds me that I am on track, and right where I am supposed to be.
