Soul Medicine
This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it – Psalm 118: 24.
What is your Soul’s Medicine today? As we reflect on this week, with Holy Week upon us, and spring time representing a time for spiritual renewal, we enter a new day, a new season, and a new era.
During this transformative time, remembering Jesus’ last walk into Jerusalem, devoting his life to God, brought miraculous change and a destined surprise turn of events, ultimately leading to a transformation, which was incomprehensible to the logical mind.
Allow this period of time to be a cleansing of your soul, to bring a reflection and awareness of what inspires you in your life today. Acknowledging what has brought you where you are, right now, today, through the time, energy, efforts, devotion and praise of the past.
During this time of year, as we reflect, a spring cleaning is customary AND necessary not only for the home, or the office, but also for the body, mind and soul…A cleansing of the soul, is something we do, periodically, while on the spiritual path, in order to forge ahead, to overcome the adversities, and rise again. We could cleanse through fasting, or giving up a bad habit, or something which no longer serves you, perhaps during the Lenten season.
Let go of that which no longer serves you
Clearing the path, pruning the garden, and paving the way, gives us an opportunity to be more, show up more, express more, and to give more, through the passionate, creative energy, that which has been has given to us, from the Divine, as our inspiration, our breath of life. This creative, expressive energy continues to grow and flow, the more and more we are inspired! The more we are inspired, the further we can walk the path.
Many times during our own internal resurrection, a stripping away of what we thought we had, brings on a period of cleansing and purification. We may look around and see how high the weeds have grown, all the while watering the garden. It can be surprising to see how the results of what we put time, energy and money into, don’t always turn out the way one may have anticipated. As Jesus has taught us, even in our darkest moments, there is always a possibility of renewal, transformation and new beginnings. This realization, is so important during a time of spiritual cleansing, a cleansing of the soul.
As we make a conscious decision to drop the idea of what was, the baggage of the past, which is the very thing that stands in our way, then life becomes lighter. No more being weighted down by the density of the external. As the saying goes, you cant see the tree through the weeds and if you don’t weed the garden, you cant bear the fruit,
Your inspiration IS the medicine for the soul
So what inspires you? This spring time, reflect on what inspires you. As this is a time to begin again, with the new junction for manifesting miracles. During Holy week, we reflect on Jesus’ journey representing a spiritual renewal and devout transformation.
We may become aware how renewal shows up in our own life, as well as out in the world. The flowers will bloom this spring, and natures fragrance is abound, assisting in providing clarity during the season’s cleansing and revival, bringing lightness of heart in all that you desire.
What is fruitful in your life
As we journey during this time of our own soul cleansing, that which nourishes the soul, becomes the medicine in our lives. Your annual spring cleaning brings clarity. Doubts and distractions removed, like weeding the garden. The souls knowing kicks in and knows, what will stay and what will go as we move on beyond this Spring season.
The invitation this season is to Rise again, allowing the inspiration of this Easter season to be medicine for the soul! An opportunity for spiritual renewal. Nurture it, grow it, and care for it. The fruit tree can nourish you for a lifetime, that which feeds the soul. Allow what inspires you, to be your souls medicine!
Thank you God for this soulful day, God is Abundantly Good, and Goodness is abound!
