Remembering Who We Are

In a world that often feels loud, fast, and overwhelming, we are invited to pause and remember who we truly are. Beneath the noise of daily life, beneath the constant pull for our attention, there is a deeper truth calling us home. That truth is the awareness of God’s presence — the pure power and presence that lives within and around us.

When we gather in spiritual community, we are not coming to find something missing. We are coming to remember what has always been here. We remember our divine essence, our spiritual identity, and our connection to the source of all life. This remembering is essential, especially when the world feels chaotic or uncertain.

The Path of Truth Is Prosperity

As we enter a season of reflecting on prosperity consciousness, we are invited to shift how we understand prosperity itself. For many of us, prosperity has been misunderstood as something we must chase, earn, or acquire. We were taught that it exists somewhere outside of us — tied to money, possessions, or status.

On the spiritual path, however, prosperity is revealed as truth. Prosperity is not something we go out and get; it is something we awaken to. It is the natural state of being aligned with God — the Abundant Universe — and recognizing that divine supply is always present.

The path of faith leads us directly into prosperity consciousness. When we choose faith over fear, we align with a deeper reality where abundance is not scarce or conditional, but constant and available.

God and the Abundant Universe

Throughout this reflection, the word God may also be understood as the Abundant Universe. This language reminds us that divine presence is not distant or external. God is not something outside of us giving or withholding blessings. God is the infinite, creative intelligence that exists within us, through us, and as us.

The Abundant Universe is the living essence of divine supply. It surrounds us, sustains us, and expresses itself through our awareness and consciousness. When we recognize this truth, prosperity becomes an inner experience rather than an external pursuit.

Oneness as the Foundation of Abundance

Jesus taught this spiritual oneness clearly. In John 14:20, he reminds us of our divine unity: “I am in the Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.” This statement reveals a profound spiritual truth — there is no separation between us and God.

Prosperity flows from this awareness of oneness. When we know that we are one with the divine source, we no longer doubt our worthiness or our access to abundance. Faith becomes our certainty, and truth becomes our foundation.

The Apostle Paul echoes this understanding in 2 Corinthians 9:8, affirming that God is able to bless us abundantly so that we always have what we need and are empowered to contribute to good in the world. Abundance, then, is not about excess for its own sake, but about spiritual sufficiency that supports meaningful living.

Redefining Prosperity

On the spiritual path, prosperity is defined as spiritual well-being. It is the sense of wholeness, security, and peace that comes from being aligned with divine truth. Imagine prosperity as a well — a well of abundance that is always full, always accessible, and never depleted.

This well is not separate from you. It exists within your consciousness. When you draw from it with faith, gratitude, and trust, you experience life as sustaining, supportive, and meaningful.

Prosperity asks us to reflect deeply: What truly sustains us? What allows us to feel secure, whole, and alive? The answers often go beyond material needs and point us back to spiritual awareness, connection, and purpose.

Thoughts, Words, and Creation

Unity teaches that we create our reality through our thoughts held in mind. Our thinking shapes our words, our words shape our actions, and our actions shape our experience of life. Prosperity consciousness begins with how we think and speak about ourselves and the world.

When fear-based thoughts arise — as they naturally do — we can acknowledge them without judgment and gently release them. Faith reminds us that fear is an illusion, and truth reminds us of our creative power as spiritual beings.

We are not at the mercy of external conditions. Each of us holds the ability to shape our future through conscious awareness, faith, and alignment with divine truth.

Wealth as Well-Being

Unity teacher Eric Butterworth offered a powerful redefinition of wealth, reminding us that true wealth means well-being. When wealth is reduced solely to money or possessions, its deeper spiritual meaning is lost.

Prosperity is a way of living and thinking. Likewise, poverty is also a way of thinking and living. Our words matter. When we affirm prosperity, we affirm life, wholeness, and divine sufficiency. When we speak from lack, we reinforce separation and limitation.

The spiritual invitation is simple yet profound: choose words that affirm truth, abundance, and worthiness.

Living Abundantly

To live abundantly is to live authentically. It is to honor who you are, rather than trying to become someone else. Your uniqueness is not a flaw; it is a divine gift. Walking in your truth aligns you naturally with prosperity consciousness.

God — the Abundant Universe — is the source that sustains all life. There is nowhere else we need to search. As we live in gratitude, awareness expands. As awareness expands, prosperity flows more freely.

As we move forward, we are invited to observe our thoughts and words with compassion and intention. Prosperity consciousness grows as we practice gratitude, trust divine timing, and remain rooted in spiritual truth.
