Affirmations:

I AM Safe and Secure

My safety and security rests with God

I am safe and secure with God

How safe do you feel in your body, your mind, and on this physical plane of existence? Safety is a primary and fundamental need in which we all are to develop as we grow. According to psychologists (such as Abraham Maslow), safety is the first need that must be met in order for us to function well and thrive. The chakra system reflects this truth, with the root chakra at the base of our spine being the first chakra we need to work with in order to support the rest. The root chakra is the lower back, pelvic area, the tailbone, and sex organs. The health of our root chakra is our security and safety.

Take a moment and reflect on your anxiety levels: do you feel the need to control everything around you? Are you afraid of going outside of your comfort zone? Do you distrust yourself and your abilities? Do you avoid other people for fear of being hurt? If you said yes to any of these signs, you are probably struggling with feeling unsafe and unsupported. This week, work with the idea that you need to feel a sense of protection, a sense of being embraced and supported by life. Find ways to remove or reduce feelings of endangerment by nurturing yourself and listening to your needs. Focus on practicing mindful self-compassion by drawing awareness to moments when you feel unsafe, place you hand over your heart, and offer yourself kindness.

Speak softly and gently to yourself these Affirmations:

I AM Safe and Secure

My safety and security rests with God

I am safe and secure with God

Gods Love enfolds me
