Self-Mastery
“A mind, once expanded, can never retract”- Richard Branson
The biggest misperception people have today is that life is “comfort-centric” when in fact it is very much “growth centric” Many are on a quest to live life in a comfort zone, to make life comfortable and easier, through impulsive, short-term thinking of immediate gratification. When in fact life is actually based on long term growth, which brings longevity, consistency, health, and fulfillment.
Prioritizing the growth path in one’s life, expands an authentic life and growth potential! Along the growth path, ascends you into the idea of the infinite field of possibilities. It is only with a limited set of beliefs brought forward by seeking comfort as a lifestyle, in which one perceives limitations. Limitations to possibilities are merely a subset of the need to control one’s comfort zone.
Creating a set of values and principles which are right for you becomes the foundation for growth and the very essence of who you are today and who you will become tomorrow. It is within your own intrinsic power, of what comes naturally to you, which allows you to remain present, honor your values and stay focused on your vision, with intention. This combination creates the firm foundation in which to live an authentic life on the growth path.
Remember who you are
It is natural to gain knowledge, wisdom and maturity as we grow, not only mentally, but also emotionally and spiritually. Therefore, our values evolve with us. Once people come into the awareness of the intrinsic “one thing” that inspires them the most, they then commit with no hesitation.
Growth then becomes a natural process because it is intrinsic to self, expanding one’s natural abilities and authenticity with little to no effort. It is without question the certainty of vision which was made through the practice of dedication with focus, failure, and commitment.
Failure then becomes an ingredient for success. Especially when we have no choice but to face it and surrender into it, with new knowledge from the growth that comes from failure. Man wants to grow to be happy and live “in” purpose yet expending energy on “settling” into the idea that temporary comfort is just “good enough”.
This idea of a temporal life creates a retraction effect, rather than an expansion of one’s being. When we realize temporary fixes produce the less stable, less reliable, less fulfilling results, then we finally come to know this way of thinking as part of resulting failure, which then can become part of the formula for your future expansive success!
On the growth path, people may have mistaken “comfort” from short term extrinsic convenience, as long-term intrinsic purpose, especially if prioritizing external “appearances” of fitting in, giving power to the external, in order to gain acceptance or approval of the worldly ways.
The growth path is not for everyone but certainly moves us through the tough times with necessity. We can stay positive, all through the ripples of life’s hardships as they pass us by. On the growth path, obstacles, hurdles and challenges are meant to overcome, not meant to take a seat at the table with you!
It is during the times of life, when convenience and comfort are prevalent, change and growth become challenging. This is due to the false hope the external world brings, by holding on too tight to the external as it presents itself.
Change and growth form the necessary internal muscles to re-train and re-focus oneself to its natural intrinsic needs, which make it necessary to get over the hurdles, to get back up again after having been knocked down. This is our innate human ability.
“Nothing Great ever happens in your comfort zone”
Self-commitment to authenticity makes manifestation easy. An authentic life inspires and motivates from within, in turn, moving us with inspired action, outwardly creating growth, with ease and grace! Knowing this, we begin to prioritize our own intrinsic values and beliefs to create an authentic life, a life worth living!
Eventually, the values in which you place before you, as a high priority, intrinsically come back to you, ever so naturally, hence, showing up in the external world, as part of you! As a matter of fact, the values in which we give the highest priority become who we are, what we do and who we will be!
No need to force or motivate self or others to accomplish what needs to be done. When it is meant for you, it is from pure purpose in which it evolves, within the soul, intrinsically.
In leadership, those qualities which are intrinsically yours, will eventually rise to the surface, and exude you, extrinsically!
Our core values are always growing and evolving with what is most important in life. What is important will always be that which inspires and fulfills you and your ever expanding vision. You will begin to see the results of your mastery, show up daily.
As you place your highest priorities, they in fact, become your values, your own set of rules in which bring the ability to lead your life embracing vision as intentional daily life.
The world becomes unlimited and awe inspiring when we prioritize our own values to dictate what is important in life. Life then becomes intrinsic. Creating our own reality and writing our own story, is an authentic life. Your story from your own experiences & your own perspective along the growth path.
What Story are you Creating Today?
As we release the shackles from the extrinsic world, the “imprisonment of what other people think”, we gain our own voice of authority and trust in our own intuition, bringing us closer to a higher power. When we live in self-mastery, and become a master of our own destiny, we prioritize what is naturally ours, what is intrinsic to self, what is inspiring, and what is fulfilling. We lay down giving the voices of others authority over our own lives.
Our own authenticity, backed by values as a foundation, brings awareness to our intentions and purpose. And with this acknowledgement puts us on the growth path.
With your evolving value system, and long term trajectory, prioritize your story, not someone else’s. Your wholeness IS your purpose; being it, living it, with compassion and creation, focusing on your truth as your authentic journey!
The day you realize that everyone is the star of their own movie, with the main character creating their own story, whether it be a romance, a drama, a play, a tragedy, a horror film, or a success story. Remember, your loved ones will have their own story too. Everyone has the power to shape their own destiny by what it is they truly value.
As the master of your destiny, the star in your own movie, no one else’s, you have nothing to defend, nothing to alter, nothing to prove and everything to experience! What story are you creating today?
1 Corinthians 12:15-26
Now if the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. If they were all one part, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, but one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.
